Performance Analyst
Angeles Investment Advisors, LLC is an employee-owned multi-asset investment management firm based in Santa Monica, CA that offers strategic leadership in crafting investment programs for foundations, endowments, pensions, operating charities and families that advance our clients' missions, values and objectives.
Angeles seeks a motivated Analyst to join our Performance reporting team. In this role, the primary responsibility of the Performance Analyst is to provide support to our Investment Officers on all aspects of performance reporting for client relationships.
Angeles offers a hybrid work environment and requires in-office attendance 1 to 2x a week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly client presentation material.
- Track and calculate performance metrics for investments, composites, and benchmarks.
- Provide written commentary on manager performance, economic conditions, and capital market results.
- Retrieve and organize monthly and quarterly statements for private investments, hedge funds and separately managed accounts. Maintain spreadsheets that track cash flows and market values for such investments.
- Update fund statistics within performance software on a monthly/quarterly basis for supplemental use in client presentations.
- Assist the investment officers in any client reporting requests.
- Support appropriate departments with ad-hoc performance data requests- including marketing material and proprietary fund reporting.
Requirements:
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills are a must, along with advanced computer skills, including significant experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- One – three years of accounting experience, or exposure to the investment industry.
- Prior experience with a monthly/quarterly reconciliation process.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with Addepar is not required but is advantageous as we are in the process of implementing this performance system.
- Additional investment software experience (Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Addepar) is a plus.
