Michael J. Burlon
Managing Director, Portfolio Strategy and Research & Partner
Michael joined Angeles Investment Advisors in 2010 and is a Partner of the firm. Michael leads research in public market and credit strategies. Michael also manages portfolios and takes part in formulating the firm’s investment strategy. Prior to joining Angeles, Michael was an analyst at Commerzbank, where he conducted research and sourced new managers for the firm’s hedge fund of funds. Previously, Michael was a Vice President in Bear Stearns’ Structured Funds group, where he conducted hedge fund research and advised clients on their hedge fund portfolios. Michael began his career at Lehman Brothers, where he was a credit analyst working with the firm’s hedge fund counterparties. Michael received a BA in Economics from New York University. While pursuing his degree, Michael spent two years working part-time at Moore Capital Management, a global macro focused hedge fund manager. Michael was also a member of the NYU swim team, where he was a school record holder in multiple events.
