Derek Kellman, CFA

Investment Officer

Derek has over 13 years of experience and is an Investment Officer based in the Los Angeles office. In his capacity, Derek partners with institutional clients on formulating and implementing strategic asset allocation and investment portfolio structure as well as policy development. Furthermore, he frequently conducts ad hoc analyses for clients to evaluate their strategic initiatives. Derek also plays an active role in Angeles' Sustainability Committee, where he leads the firm’s diverse recruiting initiatives. Prior to business school, Derek worked at City National Rochdale, managing $2 billion in assets for private wealth clients, and Signature Estate & Investment Advisors, where he managed research and trading responsibilities. He began his career in 2011 working for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, where he managed $400 million in assets that served various functions to support the tribe's long-term success. Derek received his M.B.A. from Cornell SC Johnson College of Business and holds a B.A. in Business Economics from U.C. Santa Barbara. Derek is a CFA® Charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles and AIF's Future Leaders Program.
