Director, Quantitative Research and Strategy
Hector joined Angeles Investments in 2021 and is a Director of Quantitative Research and Strategy. Hector reports directly to Michael Burlon and has led the construction of the Data Science and Quantitative Finance infrastructure at Angeles. He continues to develop cutting edge applications and methodologies to further Angeles' quantitative and technological capabilities. Prior to joining the team at AIA, Hector worked on the Technology team at Ernst and Young, and most recently Hector worked as a Finance and Data Science Associate at Tolis Advisors LP, which is a distressed debt hedge fund. Hector received his B.S. in Enterprise Risk Management with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics from the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University. He also possesses an M.S. in Data Science from the CUNY School of Professional Studies graduate program. He graduated from his M.S. program with a GPA of 3.97 and has received various Dean's List honors. In his free time, he loves to actively work on a variety of data science projects across a broad range of intellectually stimulating questions and he loves to train intensely in several martial arts.
