Senior Managing Director
Ann E. Deaton is a Senior Managing Director and Head of the Houston office for Angeles Wealth Management. Ann has over 25 years of investment experience assisting families, pension plans, foundations and endowments and corporations in developing investment guidelines, structuring asset allocation programs, manager searches and performance analysis. Prior to joining Angeles, Ann was a Senior Managing Director with US Capital Advisors. Ann serves on the Foundation Board of Goodwill Industries Houston and the Board of Girl Scouts of San Jacinto. She is also a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of the United Way of Houston, the United Way Women's Initiative and is a past president of Texas Executive Women. Ann has been recognized often for her commitment to the Houston community, including being named as a Role Model by the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce, a Woman Who Means Business by the Houston Business Journal, and One of the 50 Most Influential Women in Houston by Houston Woman Magazine. Ann is also a member of the American Leadership Forum Class XXX team, and the International Women's Forum. Ann holds a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her master's in public policy with a specialty in economics at the University of California at Berkeley. Early in life, Ann served as an instructor for Hurricane Island Outward Bound School in Maine. The invaluable lessons Ann learned in Maine have served her well in all of her endeavors - influencing her approach to teamwork and to leadership. In addition to work and her community activity, Ann enjoys playing golf and spending time at her farm.
